Baseball Recap: Antelope Valley Antelopes vs. Lancaster Eagles
Antelope Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Lancaster Eagles, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-3 on Wednesday.
Antelope Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beau Glover, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Antelope Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Lancaster, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope Valley will square off against Knight at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lancaster, they will venture away from home to square off against Castaic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Coyotes will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
