Barrack Hebrew Academy suffers third straight loss at home

The Barrack Hebrew Academy Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Academy of the New Church, falling 82-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Barrack Hebrew Academy has scored all season.

Academy of the New Church was led to victory by Ryan Warren and Cameron Smith. Warren scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Smith scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Smith's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Waldon, who scored nine points along with six steals.

Barrack Hebrew Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Academy of the New Church, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Barrack Hebrew Academy will head out on the road to take on Shipley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy of the New Church won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lawrenceville School at 5:45 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Lawrenceville School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
