Preview: Tri-West Hendricks Bruins vs. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans

The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tri-West Hendricks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.

Tri-West Hendricks put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 64-40 margin over Indianapolis Arsenal Technical. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Tri-West Hendricks has posted since December 8, 2023.

Tri-West Hendricks can attribute much of their success to Atta Garnett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Lauren Bear, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Bear hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Anthony, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 14 to 6 on the offensive boards, a fact Indianapolis Bishop Chatard proved on Saturday. They came out on top against Franklin County by a score of 54-46.

It was another big night for Olivia Berzai, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Johnson, who scored ten points along with three steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Tri-West Hendricks and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Tuesday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Tri-West Hendricks have been dynamite from deep this season, having only nailed 33.9% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Indianapolis Bishop Chatard struggles in that department as they've made 38.9% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Tri-West Hendricks ended up a good deal behind Indianapolis Bishop Chatard when the teams last played back in November of 2022, losing 76-60. Can Tri-West Hendricks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
