Baseball Recap: Lucas Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Wylie Prep Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prince of Peace, Lucas Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Wylie Prep Academy Patriots with a sharp 13-3 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Samuel Wheeler made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Wheeler was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Lucas Christian Academy let Pierce Horton and Rylan Goss run wild. Horton scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Goss scored a run and stole Three bases. Bennett Parker was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Lucas Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lucas Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Prestonwood Christian North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on March 14th.
