Volleyball Recap: Wilkes Central Eagles vs. Ashe County Huskies

Wilkes Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Ashe County Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-10.

Charlea Abrams paced Wilkes Central's offense, picking up six kills. Abrams got some help from Lake Carver and her five assists. Carver also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jolieya Parsons, each putting up two.

Wilkes Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Ashe County, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-7.
