Football Recap: Kenneth Malone Hayes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Manvel over Barbers Hill + How To Watch

After flying high against Ball last Friday, Manvel came back down to earth. The Mavericks fell 40-35 to the Barbers Hill Eagles on Thursday. Manvel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenneth Malone Hayes, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD. Xaiden Brown was another key rusher, rushing for 81 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Manvel's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Barbers Hill, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Manvel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-7 win against Pasadena Memorial on the 11th. As for Barbers Hill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 37-36 defeat against Deer Park on the 12th.
