Basketball Recap: Prairie Skates Past Timberline with Ease

Prairie won the last time they faced Timberline and things went their way on Thursday too. The Prairie Falcons breezed past the Timberline Blazers to the tune of 71-44. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Falcons had established a 22 point advantage.

Timberline lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kenyon Simmons, who posted 12 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Leon Heilman, who had ten points.

Prairie has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Timberline's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Looking ahead, Prairie will square off against Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Central Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Timberline, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-43 loss against Silas on the 22nd.
