After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Melrose, Lake Arthur was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dora Coyotes 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 12, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Lake Arthur wouldn't go down easily and took Dora into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 21-25, 15-13.

With the win, Lake Arthur broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 9-6. As for Dora, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake Arthur is set to square off against their familiar foe Floyd at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dora will challenge rival Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
