Basketball Recap: Cypress Bay Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Cypress Bay won the last time they faced Pembroke Pines Charter, and Danielle Oz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cypress Bay Lightning walked away with a 57-45 win over the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars on Wednesday thanks in part to Oz, who went 7 of 15 en route to 23 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Cypress Bay has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Cypress Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-16 victory against Boyd Anderson on the 24th. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-52 loss against NSU University on the 23rd.
