The Uintah Utes are taking a road trip to face off against the Mountain View Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Uintah has given up an average of 45 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Uintah is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt a 68-40 loss at the hands of Timpanogos on Friday. The Utes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-26.
Despite their defeat, Uintah saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Daniel Logan, who picked up 179 receiving yards and one touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Logan's longest reception was for an incredible 84 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Romeo Garcia, who picked up 161 receiving yards and one TD.

Even if they lost, Uintah's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Caden Young and Lukas Turner, who racked up five sacks between them. Turner is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Oakley Shope got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Mountain View was beaten by Park City 45-14 on Friday. The matchup marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Uintah will have to keep a close watch on Briggy Moses and Tate Johnson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Mountain View's prior game. Moses picked up 88 receiving yards and one score, while Johnson threw for 151 yards and one touchdown.
Mountain View's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Uintah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything came up roses for Uintah against Mountain View when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-14 victory.
