Football Recap: Grace Bunker Key Part of Team Effort in Tritons Win

There's no place like home for San Clemente, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They snuck past the San Marcos Knights with a 15-9 win on Tuesday.

San Clemente's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Bunker, who picked up 119 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 32 yards. That's the most receiving yards Bunker has posted since back in November of 2024. Chloe Williams was another key passer, throwing for 124 yards and one touchdown.

San Clemente's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.7 points on average over those games. As for San Marcos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
