Basketball Recap: Luke Ryan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Shore Country Day over Christ the King

North Shore Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 58-35 to the Christ the King Gladiators. The Raiders lost against the Gladiators in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 69-24 score last time.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Ryan, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeden Ackley, who had ten points.

North Shore Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Christ the King, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

North Shore Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ the King, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-50 win against Oswego on the 20th.
