Baseball Recap: Rochester Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rochester can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Bishop Canevin Crusaders on Thursday. The shutout was out of character for the Rams seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Rochester saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Poplin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

With the defeat, Rochester broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8. As for Bishop Canevin, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Canevin, they have already played their next contest, a 16-1 loss against Greensburg Central Catholic on the 20th.
