Softball Recap: Bothell Cougars vs. North Creek Jaguars
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bothell can now relate to. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Creek Jaguars on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 back in April.
Bothell got a good showing from Addison Hall, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits Hall has allowed since back in March.
At the plate, Berlin Roberts led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kolbi Schmer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Bothell's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for North Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
As of now, neither Bothell nor North Creek have any future games scheduled.
