Basketball Game Preview: Anderson Prep Academy Jets vs. Muncie Burris Owls

Anderson Prep Academy is 0-10 against Muncie Burris since February of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Anderson Prep Academy Jets are taking a road trip to challenge the Muncie Burris Owls at 7:30 p.m. Anderson Prep Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.

Anderson Prep Academy will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating International, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Anderson Prep Academy came out on top against International by a score of 69-60 on Saturday. The Jets pushed the score to 63-42 by the end of the third, a deficit the Gryphons cut but never quite recovered from.

Anderson Prep Academy relied on the efforts of Zamarion Bryant, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, and Lincoln Fathauer, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 20 points and three blocks. Bryant has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Markus McClain was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Muncie Burris was beaten by Daleville 74-33 on Saturday. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anderson Prep Academy will need focus on slowing down Sam Isom, one of several Muncie Burris players who made an impact when they last played. He posted six points. Brayden Martin also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Anderson Prep Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Muncie Burris, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Anderson Prep Academy came up short against Muncie Burris when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 51-42. Can Anderson Prep Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
