Soccer Game Preview: Lake Minneola vs. Forest

The Lake Minneola Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Forest Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Lake Minneola fell victim to Mount Dora and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Forest kept a clean sheet against Gainesville on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 2-0. Kierstyn Foskey had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Wildcats.

Forest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Lake Minneola, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Lake Minneola suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Forest in their previous matchup back in January. Can Lake Minneola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
