Baseball Recap: Tintic Comes Up Short

Tintic extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Bryce Valley Mustangs, falling 21-8. The Miners were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Gavin Bratt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Bratt is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Camden Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As for Bryce Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The game marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

On Bryce Valley's side, Trevan Clark was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits. Clark was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Mason Ahlstrom was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in September of 2024. Rodolfo Perez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double.
