Softball Game Preview: Stevenson Bulldogs vs. Goldendale Timberwolves

The Stevenson Bulldogs will face off against the Goldendale Timberwolves at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stevenson's offense. They lost 7-0 to Seton Catholic on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Bulldogs' undefeated start to the season.

Stevenson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rebecca Townsend, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Townsend is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Goldendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against DeSales, falling 14-4.

Goldendale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Stevenson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Stevenson took their victory against Goldendale in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3. Will Stevenson repeat their success, or does Goldendale has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
