Baseball Game Preview: Elizabeth Forward Warriors vs. Uniontown Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Elizabeth Forward will face off against Uniontown. The Warriors will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Elizabeth Forward is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Elizabeth Forward will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Uniontown on Monday. The Warriors blew past the Red Raiders 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

JB Crovak made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Jack Crovak was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brayden Kollar was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Elizabeth Forward always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Uniontown only posted an OBP of .222.

With the loss, Uniontown broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-10. As for Elizabeth Forward, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
