Softball Recap: Payne Tech Takes a Loss

The Payne Tech Lions lost 11-1 to the Bergen Tech Knights on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Payne Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leidy Soto Leyba, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Soto Leyba's first of the season.

Payne Tech's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bergen Tech, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payne Tech will welcome West Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bergen Tech, they will face off against Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Knights' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Maroons have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
