Basketball Recap: Franklin Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Franklin had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Max McClure did his part to make it four on Friday. The Franklin Panthers took their contest with ease, bagging an 86-59 victory over the Pisgah Bears thanks in part to McClure, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 29 points and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Franklin's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of William Rauers, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 17 points and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Pisgah, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will face off against North Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Henderson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games. As for Pisgah, they will welcome West Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pisgah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully West Henderson likes a good challenge.
