Recap: Lincoln Prep Lightning vs. Benjamin Franklin Chargers
After losing to the Benjamin Franklin Chargers the last time they met, the Lincoln Prep Lightning decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lincoln Prep enjoyed a cozy 50-36 win over Benjamin Franklin on Friday.
Benjamin Franklin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacey Blair, who scored seven points along with eight steals. Blair is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Mortensen, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Lincoln Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Benjamin Franklin, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing San Tan Foothills the next time they take the court. Benjamin Franklin will host San Tan Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Lincoln Prep will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
