Basketball Recap: Cedarcrest's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Cedarcrest proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over the Highline Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Wolves have posted since January 17th.

Cedarcrest found their leader in sophomore Paul Laycock, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Smith, who posted six points and five boards.

Cedarcrest's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Highline, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Cedarcrest and Highline will both be playing Foster the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Red Wolves will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
