It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Manchester ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

Manchester is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
