Baseball Recap: Foard Comes Up Short

Foard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bandys Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2018.

Foard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Dentel, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles. Those doubles were Dentel's first of the season.

Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bandys, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Foard is set to take on their familiar foe Maiden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bandys will square off against rival Newton-Conover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
