Softball Recap: Florida State University High School Takes a Loss

Florida State University High School lost against Liberty County last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seminoles lost 14-7 to the Bulldogs. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Layna Photo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawton Hosey, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs.

Florida State University High School's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Liberty County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Florida State University High School will challenge North Bay Haven Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Seminoles surely won't give up without a fight. Liberty County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
