Basketball Recap: Bandys Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bandys won the last time they faced St. Stephens and Addison Bell did her part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-25 victory over the Indians thanks in part to Bell, who went 9-for-13 en route to 24 points along with six assists and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bandys' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Shania Williams, who posted four points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Williams is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

The win keeps Bandys at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 58.3 points this season. As for St. Stephens, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bandys won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Trojans 29, the Spartans 29.3) so any points scored will be well earned. St. Stephens and North Iredell will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th. The Raiders have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
