Basketball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado lost against Cuba back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Coronado Leopards came up short against the Cuba Rams, falling 77-53. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Delmar Whitehorse, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds for Cuba. The game was Whitehorse's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was LaDainian Wilson, who posted 13 points along with six boards and five steals.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Cuba, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Coronado has already played their next contest, a 59-52 win against Monte Del Sol Charter on the 17th. As for Cuba, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-54 loss against Roy/Mosquero on the 17th.
