Shanksville Stonycreek takes loss despite strong efforts from Grant Boozer and Braxton Newman

The Shanksville Stonycreek Vikings suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-28 loss at the hands of Salisbury Elk Lick. It was the first time this season that Shanksville Stonycreek let down their fans at home.

Despite the loss, Shanksville Stonycreek had strong showings from Braxton Newman, who scored ten points, and Grant Boozer, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Newman has scored all season.

Sellers hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Lance Jones, who scored 18 points along with three steals.

Shanksville Stonycreek's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Salisbury Elk Lick, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Shanksville Stonycreek will head out on the road to face off against Ferndale at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
