Recap: Lyons Lions vs. Akron Rams
The Lyons Lions put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Akron 60-12 on the road. Fans of Lyons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Miles Dumbauld continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 231 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Malik Sigg-Brown, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Akron's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jakzon Livesay, who rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown, and Anderson Filla who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Akron's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Caleb Poss.
Lyons' win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Akron, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Lyons will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Dove Creek at 1:00 p.m. Dove Creek will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Akron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
