L.C. Bird is a perfect 7-0 against Huguenot since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Skyhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. L.C. Bird will be strutting in after a victory while Huguenot will be coming in after a defeat.

L.C. Bird had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Richmond High School for the Arts on Tuesday. The Skyhawks put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Huguenot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Monacan.

L.C. Bird's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 4-15. As for Huguenot, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

L.C. Bird took their victory against Huguenot when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skyhawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
