Recap: Union Academy Cardinals vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks
In what's become a running theme this season, the Union Academy Cardinals gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Charlotte Latin as Union Academy made off with a 70-45 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Union Academy has posted since November 29, 2023.
Union Academy was led to victory by Paisley Boatright and Ranon Suttle. Boatright scored 22 points along with seven rebounds, while Suttle scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boatright has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianna Shine, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Union Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Charlotte Latin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Academy will take on South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Charlotte Latin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Charlotte Country Day School at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully Charlotte Country Day School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
