Recap: Preble Shawnee Arrows vs. Carlisle Indians
The Preble Shawnee Arrows's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carlisle. Preble Shawnee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carlisle apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Preble Shawnee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caylee Hatmaker. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. Hatmaker scored a full 38.1% of Preble Shawnee's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Addison Sargent-eckert, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Preble Shawnee has fallen quite a ways from their 20-7 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Carlisle, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preble Shawnee will take on Dixie at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Dixie comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Carlisle, they will be playing at home against National Trail at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
