Basketball Recap: Make It Ten in a Row for Valley

Valley had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.7 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They blew past the Kress Kangaroos, posting a 40-13 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trinity Schlueter out in front who posted seven points in addition to nine steals and seven rebounds. Schlueter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 33 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Savannah Carrera, who went 6 of 14 en route to 13 points.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Kress, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-5.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-34 defeat against Westbrook on the 28th. As for Kress, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-41 loss against Haskell on the 28th.
