Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Robert Toombs Christian Academy walked away with it. They blew past the Matadors 49-8 at home.
Robert Toombs Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Hill led the charge by rushing for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Hill was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Justin Powell also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Flint River Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over Fullington Academy at home.
Flint River Academy can attribute much of their success to Trenton Young, who rushed for 56 yards and four touchdowns. Cale Cartwright was another key contributor, rushing for 100 yards on only 12 carries.
Robert Toombs Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Flint River Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
