            Softball Preview: Streator Bulldogs vs. Lisle Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Streator is  a perfect 10-0 against Lisle since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to  take on the Lions  at 4:30  p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.
On Tuesday, Streator didn't have quite enough to beat Manteno and fell  7-6.

 Makenna Ondrey put in work while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Mya Zavada stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.  Morgan Kostal also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Meanwhile, Lisle might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Aurora Christian who claimed the real prize. The Lions fell  8-5 to the Eagles.
 Streator's record now sits at 5-16. As for Lisle, their record is now 4-12.
 Streator took their  victory against Lisle  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  16-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
