Volleyball Recap: Jerzy Moon and Kendi Rollins Secure Win for Richfield

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Richfield walked away with it. They came out on top against the Layton Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Monday.

Leading Richfield to victory were Kendi Rollins and Jerzy Moon. Rollins had 18 digs, while Moon had 20 kills and 19 digs. Moon has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 37 times she's played. Brynlee West also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Richfield's win bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Layton Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Richfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Canyon View on the 27th. As for Layton Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Emery on the 27th.
