Basketball Recap: El Dorado Comes Up Short

El Dorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 47-32 bruising from the Goddard Lions. The Wildcats lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-11 score last time.

Goddard got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marayah Coleman out in front who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Schmidt, who put up eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.

El Dorado's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Goddard, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

El Dorado will face off against Buhler on Tuesday. As for Goddard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-23 loss against Mill Valley on the 1st.
