Baseball Recap: Florin Comes Up Short

Florin had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-11 to make it seven. They lost 16-2 to the Burbank Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Thursday.

As for Burbank, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7. Considering they have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Burbank's part, Kevin Duplessis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. What's more, Duplessis posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Uriel Angulo, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Florin has already played their next game, a 17-0 defeat against Armijo on the 15th. As for Burbank, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-7 loss against Bear River on the 14th.
