Basketball Recap: Reagan Takes a Loss

Reagan lost against Mount Tabor back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Reagan Raiders lost 68-43 to the Mount Tabor Spartans. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Reagan still got an impressive performance from Jayden McCrae, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards McCrae has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Ford, who put up six points.

Reagan has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Mount Tabor, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Coming up, Reagan will be playing in front of their home fans against R.J. Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reagan is facing R.J. Reynolds at the right time seeing as R.J. Reynolds is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mount Tabor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 78-61 victory against Winston-Salem Prep on the 8th.
