Softball Recap: Corbin Takes a Loss

Corbin suffered their biggest loss since March 21st on Saturday. They came up short against the Assumption Rockets, falling 14-7.

Corbin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Assumption, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Corbin will face off against South Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Assumption, they are taking a road trip to challenge Ballard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
