Basketball Recap: St. Raphael Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

If Chariho wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Raphael Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Vanessa Piscione. The St. Raphael Academy Saints came out on top against the Chariho Chargers by a score of 46-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Piscione, who posted 28 points. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The win (which was St. Raphael Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Chariho, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

St. Raphael Academy will head out to square off against West Warwick at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Brea Lima and Piscione. As for Chariho, they will face off against Westerly at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
