Softball Recap: Rosepine Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cedar Creek on Saturday, Rosepine came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 12-2 to the Barbe Buccaneers on Monday.

Rosepine's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Barbe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosepine will challenge East Beauregard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.55 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Barbe, they will face off against Lafayette at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
