Thorp waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Athens Bluejays get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thorp's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Athens, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Coming up, Thorp will be playing in front of their home fans against McDonell Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Athens, they will head out to take on Wausau East at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bluejays are facing the Lumberjacks at the right time seeing as the Lumberjacks are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
