Basketball Recap: Emory Maiyer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dominion Christian over Harvester Christian Academy

Dominion Christian came up into this matchup off a tough 29-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Harvester Christian Academy Hawks by a score of 61-58 on Tuesday. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emory Maiyer, who went 10 of 21 en route to 24 points. Maiyer's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Dominion Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Harvester Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dominion Christian will host Academe of the Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harvester Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th.
