Basketball Recap: Minnetonka Falls Short Against Ranked Prior Lake

On Saturday, Minnetonka faced Prior Lake in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Minnetonka Skippers fell 71-62 to the Prior Lake Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 85-72 back in December of 2024.

Minnetonka's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Prior Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Minnetonka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prior Lake, they will head out to challenge Shakopee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Shakopee sitting on 15 straight victories and Prior Lake on three.
