Football Recap: Mid-Prairie Skates Past Sigourney-Keota with Ease

There's no place like home for Mid-Prairie, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Sigourney-Keota Cobras, posting a 28-0 victory. This was payback for the Golden Hawks, who suffered a 21-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mid-Prairie's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.6 points on average over those games. As for Sigourney-Keota, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mid-Prairie and Sigourney-Keota will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Golden Hawks will square off against rival Wilton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sigourney-Keota is set to take on their familiar foe Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
