Basketball Recap: Potter's House Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Arda Baysal and Cheick Conde

On Monday, the Potter's House Christian Lions ended up a good deal behind the University Christian Christians and lost 53-39. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Christians are ranked 60th).

Potter's House Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Cheick Conde and Arda Baysal. Conde posted eight points and nine boards, while Baysal went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Adalbert Allotey was nothing short of spectacular for University Christian: he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Allotey a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Augustine Ayelyine, who had six points along with ten boards and three steals.

Potter's House Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for University Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Potter's House Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 95-62 win against Parris Prep Academy on the 25th. As for University Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-57 victory against Bishop Moore on the 25th.
