Preview: Appleton West Terrors vs. Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts
The Appleton West Terrors will be home for the holidays to greet the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Appleton West and four for Kaukauna.
Last Friday, Appleton West had to suffer through a rough 56-18 loss at the hands of Fond du Lac. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Appleton West has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Kaukauna came up short against Oshkosh West on Tuesday and fell 51-44.
The losing side was boosted by Addison Baumgart, who scored 15 points. Jozy Ebben was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Appleton West's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Kaukauna, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Appleton West came out on top in a nail-biter against Kaukauna when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 46-43. Does Appleton West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kaukauna turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
