Volleyball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Vandalia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenville Comets. The Vandals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Vandalia sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-14.

Greenville can attribute much of their success to Emma Bingham, who had 20 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Bingham has posted since back in September.

Vandalia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-28-1. As for Greenville, their win ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-19-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Vandalia will challenge rival North Mac at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greenville is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
